RIP Daniel #Kahneman. Thoughts from last year:
"...*Thinking, Fast and Slow* was a life-changer for me. As soon as I read it in 2013, I urged colleagues to read it, even convening a book club."
"I can *feel* the move in my mind from the constant important work of System 1 to the deliberative work of System 2. Knowing how often my intuition has been a hindrance to my understanding of the world, I welcome the feeling of going to the place where the adult is in charge."

Ugh, I'm such a dark cloud these days.
NFC was fun and all, but absolutely made me realise I am wasting my life when it comes to the fandom. There's a disconnect that I doubt I'll be able to mend — always helping others realise their vision, never following my own dreams, and only getting scraps from the table for it.
Also realised how exploitable I am for taking every project I'm given serious, and then working silly amounts of overtime. In both professional and private life.
Very unsatisfactory, the lot of it.
(Still) on the train to Swansea. I set off at 12:40. A few unfortunate delays have meant I'm getting in at about 22:00. I am very tired and very glad I'm flying back.

I only back out of them if the market conditions have significantly changed from the time the order was entered. Very important not to chicken out when they get executed.
Yesterday MHK triggered for $101, in after hours, when there was no after hours action. I have a feeling brokerage needed to offload shares before earnings. Now it's at $118.…
